Staff Apps Privacy Policy
Effective: October 25, 2026
This policy covers the iOS apps CrossFit Inner Loop provides to its staff and coaches: CFIL Controls and CFIL Workout Display. For our website and memberships, see our main Privacy Policy.
Who the apps are for
The apps let CFIL staff and coaches run the gym's equipment and workout display screens. They are not available to the public: they are not listed or searchable on the App Store, are shared only with CFIL staff by private link, and only work on the gym's network. They're installed on CFIL devices, and coaches can choose to install them on their own devices too.
What the apps collect
Nothing. The apps don't collect, store, sell, or share personal data. They contain no analytics, advertising, or tracking, and they don't send anything to us or to any third party.
If you've turned on iOS's "Share With App Developers" setting, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Location permission (CFIL Controls only)
iOS only lets an app see the name of the Wi-Fi network it's connected to if the app has location permission. CFIL Controls asks for "While Using the App" access only to check that the device is on the gym's staff Wi-Fi. It never reads the device's location, and the network name never leaves the device. CFIL Workout Display doesn't ask for location.
Network connections
The apps connect only to the gym's own equipment on the gym's local network: the control system and the workout display screen.
Sign-in
CFIL Controls shows the gym's control system, which has its own sign-in. That sign-in happens on the gym's system, not in the app. The session is saved on the device so staff don't have to sign in every time, and deleting the app removes it. CFIL Workout Display has no sign-in.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date above.
